A very nice and informative experience, I came in for the mocktail experience and my bartender was Luke. Luke was great, friendly and engaging. He taught me a lot about the history of the bar, Prohibition and how certain drinks were made. It was a unique experience one many probably don't know about. The food was also solid.

You can read through other reviews to hear about how amazing the drinks and ambiance are. Christian provided so much knowledge on the drinks as well as outstanding service. What people are not giving enough praise to is the food! My friends and I ordered the entire second page of their menu and it did not disappoint! Kale salad, risotto, and the crepes were amazing! Oh, and the spinach dip! Great portion sizes to share. We can’t wait to go back.

Had a great experience at the Fountain for a date night. We did the mocktail tasting and every single drink had a neat history that we learned. We also got back ground in the history of the bar and it's strong ties to DC. I would highly recommend the drinks, food, and the atmosphere!

All about the atmosphere and cocktails here, such a warm and intimate vibe in this cozy single room dining and bar area. Our servers were knowledgeable and friendly, and pretty attentive without ever being overly present. Their cocktails are uniquely creative and well crafted, and if you don't like their current offering, they can make you anything you want. My friend had the sliders and they were good, too, just not as enjoyable as our drinks. Love this place and where it sits on this upper Wisconsin stretch of Georgetown.

The Fountain Inn is everything you'd want in a D.C. cocktail bar- history, location, space, quality, and service. As part of my 39th birthday celebration, my wife surprised me with dinner at Herbivore Indian followed by drinks at The Fountain Inn. Here's our experience. 1) Cocktails: Their menu is large with over 250 different options from cocktails to wine to beer. Their liquor is displayed beautifully behind the bar and includes unique options like a new rum from Thailand. If you love sweet cocktails, they don't have any overly sweetened, but they do have sour. Their cocktail menu includes originals and seasonal options. To start, I ordered the Snallygaster, which comes with strawberry. For my second drink, I did "bartender's choice" and got a drink made with Thai rum, orange wine, and egg whites. Both were very refreshing, complex, and unique. For more still drinks, my wife loved her Old Fashioneds. 2) Space: Off the busy part of Georgetown, it feels more like a neighborhood space. They have a small bottom room and bar and an upstairs where they host tastings and events. The space is intimate creating a perfect date spot. The space is beautiful! 3) Service: The bartenders take pride in their craft and are very skilled. It was a delightful experience. If you love cocktails, go here! Opened in 2021, it honors a 1783 tavern with deep history once in the area.

I really enjoyed the cocktail tour. It was definitely worth the money. Luke was our bartender and he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Fountain Inn and signature cocktails of D.C. Luke and other staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. It was my first time here with boyfriend for his birthday. Luke and the staff made it very special. I highly recommend this location.

Great spot if you love whiskey. We had the Lost in Japan flight and Botanical breakdown (Gin ). The waiters were able to explain everything we were drinking. The mood and the lighting made for an intimate atmosphere

The Fountain Inn in Washington, D.C. is a must visit Bar and upcoming Restaurant. Scott made our hangout so much fun cracking jokes and tempting in passersby and always ensuring we were happy. The beautiful patio is the perfect spot to relax, and the new spring cocktails are a fresh, diverse twist on classic drinks. Scott also mentioned a new food menu coming soon, which sounds exciting for our next visit. The bar is clean, well stocked, and even the bathrooms are spotless. If you're looking for great drinks, incredibly genuine enthusiastic service, and a good atmosphere, The Fountain Inn is the place to be!
